Henry Jeffries and Ann Belcher

Introduction

This section is concerned with Henry Jeffries and Ann Belcher, their ancestors and their sons.

Henry's Parentage

The argument here is that the Harry Jeffries born on 26 March 1775 in Highworth, Wiltshire to Robert and Elizabeth Jeffreys and the Henry, who married Ann Belcher on Christmas Day 1798 are one and the same person, and that, therefore, Robert and Elizabeth Jeffreys are Henry's parents.

This section looks at Henry's ancestors, in particular, Robert and Elizabeth Jeffreys.

Ann's Ancestors

This section looks at the three known generations of Ann's ancestors in Kingston Bagpuize back to about 1678, and some possibilities for the fourth generation.
