William, the third son of Henry and Ann, was baptised in Kingston Bagpuize on 28 July 1805.
On an unknown date and at an unknown place, William married Anne Stevens. We know Anne's surname from the birth certificates of two of their children, Mary Marianne and Thomas Stevens. There is, of course, a clue in Thomas's second forename.
We do not know when and where Anne was born and her date of birth has been estimated from her age at death.
William and Anne had four children -
William appears in just one census in Kingston Bagpuize, where his occupation is shown as shoemaker. There was another shoemaker in the village called William Stribblehill who was about ten years older than William. Perhaps Wiliam served his apprenticeship with the older William.
William died in Kingston Bagpuize on 30 March 1849 of Typhus Fever* and was buried in the village on 1 April 1849.
Anne died in Kingston Bagpuize on 13 January 1848 of hyperatrophy of heart and effusions in the head, and was buried in the village on 16 January 1848.
* William was one of seven family members who died of Typhus Fever, which tragedy is described here.
