The site of Brandyquoy on this modern map may be different from when our ancestors were there. Zoom in one step and Claybraes will appear south west of Brandyquoy. However, four maps from 1882 to 1903 on old-maps.co.uk show Claybraes north of Brandyquoy, and Brandyquoy as being by the old school house.
This would be Brandyquoy if the above map is correct, with Springback probably in the distance.
The 1821 census enumerator, Peter Nicholson McLaren, was the parochial schoolmaster. If the old maps are correct then Brandyquoy was just to the right of house.
