Reports Introduction

This section is divided into three pages, which give access to a variety of reports generated by the Family Tree Maker software package -

Personal Reports

This page, which was previously known as Alpha List, contains an alphabetical list of all the ancestors. For each ancestor there are up to four choices.  The Timeline Report is only available for about half of the ancestors, because we know so little about them.

• Family Tree
  • This is not actually a report but provides a link to the page in the Family Tree on which the ancestor appears.
• Individual Report
  • A report containing information about the ancestor only.
• Timeline Report
  • A report giving a chronological list of the main events of the ancestor interlaced with those of his or her immediate family.
• Family Group Report
  • A report giving information on the ancestor and his or her spouse and children.

This page contain outline and full descendant reports for Henry and Ann.  Because these are rather unwieldy, I have now added the two reports for each of their seven children as well.

General Reports

This page contains a selection of general reports

• Family Tree
• This Report is in the same format as the family tree page.  At the edges of the pages are numbers indicating on which page the line continues.  It is not possible to click on these.

• Report For All Ancestors
• This report has the individual report information for all of the ancestors and as a result is rather unwieldy, at 97 pages

• Surname List
• A report giving a count of the surnames with the year of birth, where known, for the earliest and latest.

• Marriage List by Husband
• A report of who married whom and when, sorted by husband.
•  
• Marriage List by Wife
• A report of who married who and when, sorted by wife.

• Place Usage
• A report giving an alphabetical list of places, together with the names of the ancestors associated with them and the relevant fact(s).

• Sources
• A report giving the sources and the relevant fact(s) associated with them.
•  
• Documented Facts
• A report listing alphabetically the ancestors with details of their documented facts.
•  
• Parentage
• A report listing alphabetically the ancestors with the names of their parents.
